KANADA DAY
Kanada Day is the peaceful protest of a concerned Canadian citizen. After designing the packaging for “The Bail Out” EP, the next step was to create an animated music video for one of the songs. The purpose of the video was to engage a younger demographic of Canadians in political discourse by highlighting the track record of the Conservative Party. The visual narrative was based upon the song lyrics, utilizing a mixed media approach to tell the story. Photos and headlines from daily Canadian news stories were collaged together with elements of illustration and typography to create each scene. Once a scene was built, it was then animated at the pace of seconds per day.
