Robeez is a Burnaby, British Columbia based soft-soled infant shoe company. Started by Sandra Wilson, she began out of the basement of her Vancouver home. The style of shoe and the company name itself were inspired by her son, Robert. Robeez growing success and expansion lead to the necessity of professional branding for the company. This began with the vision to unify the look and feel of the collection by replacing the old line of designs with a new line of simplified character driven designs. Over a dozen characters and shoe designs were created for the initial launch. Popular designs  were later extended to apparel and marketing collateral. Two years after the launch, the Stride Rite Corporation acquired Robeez for $27.5 million.
